Community Guidelines

Dukuduku is where people say what they can't say anywhere else: love, family, work, money, secrets, hot takes. That only works if everyone feels safe to speak and safe to listen. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Use.
1. Usimwanike mtu · Don't expose anyone.
- Tell your story, not someone else's identity. No full names, nicknames that identify, phone numbers, addresses, workplaces, schools or photos of real people.
- No 'guess who this is' posts about people others could recognise.
- Talking about your ex, your boss or your family is fine. Making them findable is not.
2. Hakuna vitisho wala unyanyasaji · No threats, bullying or hate.
- No threats of violence, and no encouraging others to attack someone.
- No bullying, stalking or repeatedly targeting a person in comments.
- No attacks on people for their tribe, religion, gender, disability, sexuality or where they come from.
3. Watoto ni mstari mwekundu · Children are a hard line.
- Dukuduku is for people aged 18 and over.
- Nothing that sexualises, endangers or exploits a child, ever. We remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities.
4. Hakuna maudhui ya ngono ya wazi · No explicit sexual content.
- Talking honestly about relationships and feelings is welcome. Graphic sexual descriptions, sexual audio and anything shared without someone's consent are not.
5. Jitunze · Look after yourself.
- It's okay to say you're struggling. It's not okay to encourage self-harm, suicide or eating disorders, or to share methods.
- If you are in danger, contact someone you trust or local emergency services now.
6. Kuwa halisi · Be real.
- No spam, adverts, scams, fake giveaways or links to shady sites.
- Don't impersonate other people or pretend to be Dukuduku.
- Only post recordings, music and voices you have the right to share.
7. Heshimu sheria · Stay within the law.
- Nothing illegal in Tanzania: no selling drugs or weapons, no fraud, no calls to violence.
How moderation works
- Every post is reviewed before it reaches the public feed. Some posts are declined.
- Anyone can report a post or comment: tap the menu (⋯) and choose Report.
- Breaking these rules can lead to the content being removed, features being limited, or the account or device being suspended or removed permanently. Harm to a child or credible threats lead to an immediate ban.

Anonymous doesn't mean invisible to the rules. We don't show who posted a dukuduku, but we can still remove it, suspend the device, and act on reports.
